Handling of BATTUE CLOTH

Care when soiled

Please wipe with a moist cloth or a cloth containing diluted neutral detergent. When using a neutral detergent, please be sure to wipe once more with a moistened and then well-wrung cloth, and then let the item dry thoroughly out of direct sunlight.

When not in use, please place the item in a well-ventilated location. Also, storing items in plastic bags or storing together with chemical products, such as naphthalene or paradichlorobenzene, may result in deterioration. When not in use for long periods of time, we recommend that items be filled with tissue paper, etc. to preserve their shape and be stored upright in a well-ventilated protective bag. *Proximity to flame may result in deformation. In addition, due to the nature of the material, coatings or urethane foam applied to surfaces may deteriorate over time.

Handling of Leather Products

Dirt and dust can be easily wiped off using a dry cloth or brush. For light, localized stains, please use a stain eraser for use with leather. When using preservation cream, please apply a small amount of cream to a soft cloth and rub it evenly over the entire leather surface. Also, be careful not to apply too much cream as it could result in discoloration. Using silicon cloth is convenient as you can remove stains and bring out a lustrous finish at the same time.

When wet from rain

Attempting to rapidly dry leather that contains moister by placing it near a flame or applying an iron, etc. will cause the leather to shrink as well as become hard and brittle. Please absorb the moisture by tapping with a towel, inserting newspaper or something similar inside and letting the item dry out of direct sunlight. Then, carefully rub in preservation cream.

How to prevent mold

Mold alters and hardens the fiber structure, which can result in discoloration and shrinkage. To prevent mold, please wipe well with a dry cloth, insert a drying agent and store the item in a cool location.

Care of Case Leather

Before use, placing the item in direct sunlight until its coloration achieves a slight beige tone will enable the formation of a protective layer over the surface of the leather, which will make the item more resistant to stains. Furthermore, applying leather cream will enable the formation of an even more reliable protective layer. As you use the item over time, the leather will achieve a more supple texture, but please be especially careful while the bag is still new as contact with moisture could result in stains. After the leather is darkened, regular application of leather cream will strengthen both the threads and the leather.

Please place the item in a well-ventilated protective bag and store it in a well-ventilated location out of direct sunlight. We recommend filling the item with tissue paper or something similar as stacking with other items during storage could result in the item losing its shape.
