About Barbour products

Handling Instructions

 ● Bringing the product near fire may cause it to deform. Also, due to the material, the surface coating and urethane foam may deteriorate over time.
 ● The degree and timing of product deterioration vary depending on storage conditions and environment, and cannot be predicted. Please note that we cannot guarantee against deterioration or damage during product storage or after use.

Care instructions

 ● If dirty, wipe with a damp cloth or a cloth dampened with diluted neutral detergent. If using neutral detergent, always wipe again with a damp cloth and dry thoroughly.
 ● When storing, place it in the accompanying protective bag in a well-ventilated area, avoiding high temperatures and humidity. Please note that placing it in a plastic bag or with chemicals such as insect repellents may cause deterioration.

About leather products

Handling Instructions

 ● The leather used in HUNTING WORLD products is designed to retain its natural texture, so it is rarely treated for complete colorfastness. As a result, color transfer may occur. Please be especially careful as leaving the product wet for extended periods may lead to color fading or transfer. Avoid direct rubbing against light-colored clothing.  ● If wet, immediately blot with a dry cloth and allow it to air dry in the shade. Water that has soaked into the leather may leave stains.  ● Please note that direct sunlight or strong lighting may cause discoloration or deformation.  ● Due to the nature of suede products, color may transfer due to friction or when wet, and the surface treatment may peel off if it comes into contact with adhesive tape, so please be careful. Additionally, loose fibers may adhere to clothing, etc.  ● When storing, place the product in the provided dust bag, avoid high temperatures and humidity, and store in a well-ventilated area.

Care instructions

Cowhide: Wipe with a soft, dry cloth. For stains, apply a small amount of leather cleaner to a cloth (not directly to the leather) and wipe gently. For matte leather, use a specialized cleaner and cream. We also recommend using a leather conditioner regularly to prevent dirt and add shine.

Vegetable-tanned leather: To remove dirt, gently rub the surface with an eraser-type cleaner, being careful not to damage the leather, or apply a small amount of cleaner specifically for vegetable-tanned leather to a cloth and wipe. If liquids such as rain get on it, quickly wipe them off before they soak in.

Suede: To remove dirt, use a specialized eraser and then brush with a suede brush. Do not use creams or similar products.

Animal hair: For leathers with hair such as pony hair-style leather and sheepskin, gently brush the surface. Do not use creams or similar products.

Depending on the type of leather, cleaning with cleaners or leather creams may not be possible. Special care should be taken with unusual materials.

About "Koba" (leather edges)

The cut edges of the leather parts (known as "koba") used in Hunting World products are finished with a traditional technique that involves applying multiple layers of a special coating. This intricate process creates a smooth, pleasant texture and an elegant appearance.

Over time and depending on usage, the edge coating may peel off. To maintain the beauty and functionality of your product and ensure its longevity, we offer repair services. Please feel free to contact us if you have any concerns, to keep your cherished product in optimal condition.

Handling your suitcase

Handling Precautions

The precautions listed here may lead to serious consequences depending on the situation. All items listed below are important for safe use, so please understand them thoroughly and always adhere to them.

① When raising or lowering the pull drive handle, be careful not to pinch your fingers in the pipe joints or between the handle and the main body.
② It is dangerous to force the use of casters on stairs or uneven surfaces. The suitcase may be damaged or tip over. Please hold the handle of the suitcase body when using it.
③ Be careful as the suitcase may move unintentionally inside a moving vehicle or on an inclined surface. Place the suitcase on its side or keep your hand on the handle.
④ Do not touch the casters immediately after continuously rolling the suitcase. There is a risk of burns due to friction heat generated during caster operation.
⑤ Be careful as sand or dust on the caster axles or tangled lint can cause caster malfunction.
⑥ Do not put cash or valuables inside the suitcase. The locking mechanism is to prevent the suitcase from opening unintentionally and does not prevent theft.
⑦ Be careful not to overpack the suitcase.
⑧ Be very careful when storing breakable items such as glass bottles. They may break or their contents may leak.
⑨ Be very careful when opening and closing the suitcase. There is a risk of pinching hands or clothing.
⑩ When placing the suitcase in a high place such as a shelf, be very careful about how it is placed, as there is a risk of it falling. A falling suitcase can lead to serious personal injury.  ⑫ The suitcase is not completely waterproof. Please be aware that rainwater may seep in.
⑬ When using the suitcase for the first time, there may be an odor from resin or other materials, but the odor will diminish with use.
⑭ Please be aware that the suitcase may deform due to heat. Do not leave it near heating appliances or in a car where temperatures become high.
⑮ Although the body is made of impact-resistant material, excessive impact or load may cause deformation or damage.
⑯ The strength and durability of the suitcase are affected by the number of uses and years passed, but are particularly greatly influenced by how it is handled, such as impacts received during use.
⑰ Do not use the suitcase as a toy, step stool, or chair, as this is dangerous. It may lead to unexpected accidents such as tipping over.
⑱ When moving the suitcase, be very careful of people and objects around you.

Care and Maintenance

 ● The body and plastic parts may fade depending on direct sunlight, usage, or storage conditions.
 ● Do not use solvents such as thinner or benzine, or abrasive cleaners for maintenance. For surface dirt, wipe with a cloth dampened with a neutral detergent, then wipe with a wet cloth.
 ● Store your suitcase away from UV rays and in a well-ventilated area. Storing it in a plastic bag or cardboard box will accelerate deterioration over time due to causes such as hydrolysis of the handle or casters. Before using the product after long-term storage, please inspect it beforehand, for example, by applying weight to the handle to check for any malfunctions.

Damage to cargo during air transport

First, please contact the airline (shipping company). In some cases, the airline may arrange for repairs, but you may need to have the repairs done at our repair center yourself and then claim full or partial reimbursement from the airline (shipping company). For inquiries regarding cost responsibility, please contact the airline (shipping company) you used. We can issue repair certificates, receipts, etc., after the repairs are completed.

About Product Warranty

Products purchased at our official stores come with a five-year warranty and after-sales service. If defects in materials or manufacturing are found during the warranty period, they will be repaired free of charge. (If repair is deemed difficult, we will replace the item.)

However, damage caused by airline handling or other transportation, damage caused by improper use, superficial damage from normal use (wear and tear, scratches, fading, etc., on casters, zippers, handles, etc.), or damage caused by repairs or modifications performed outside of our authorized repair centers are not covered by the warranty. Furthermore, please note that damage related to the contents of the product, such as damage or loss of contents, or associated costs such as loss of use or lost opportunities, are also not covered. Products purchased from non-official retailers are also not covered by the warranty.

Repairs are possible for products beyond the warranty period. Please consult your point of purchase or the Hunting World Customer Center. To ensure smooth after-sales service, you will need to present the proof of purchase from an official store that was provided at the time of purchase. Please keep it safe. Please note that repairs may be refused if parts are no longer in production. Please also be aware that restrictions and exceptions may apply depending on your region of residence.

Additionally, issues arising from customer handling after use will be repaired at cost. Please note that repairs will be charged for in the following cases:

◆ Normal wear and tear, abrasion, fading, and deterioration, damage, or soiling due to heat, solvents, acids, water, etc.
◆ Damage or defects caused by transportation, such as by aircraft.
◆ Damage or wear due to age-related deterioration such as hydrolysis of the body, handle, or caster parts.
◆ Cases of intentional damage, gross negligence, or unauthorized use by the customer.
◆ Cases due to war, riots, earthquakes, volcanic eruptions, or water damage (typhoons, floods, tsunamis, etc.).
